SidingRail: Engineered Rain Screen Solution for Lap and Sheet Siding

KNIGHT WALL’S SIDINGRAIL SYSTEM IS THE IDEAL SOLUTION FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION PROJECTS TO EASILY MEET ENERGY CODES AND CONTROL MOISTURE.
The SidingRail™ System enables the use of engineered wood, fiber-cement or vinyl lap siding and roll formed metal siding. The system is available in two efficient iterations: SL or CI. SL-SidingRail offers the same versatility as the Knight LevelTek System, featuring Knight’s patented self-leveling system. This system includes a ½-inch rain screen cavity and an industry leading efficient use of exterior insulation through an engineered thermal isolation system, ThermaStop. CI-SidingRail features the industry’s only ASHRAE compliant continuous insulation solution and a ¾-inch rain screen cavity. Each system is constructed of high corrosive-resistant 18 gauge Galvalume® coated steel.
The
SidingRail™ rain screen system (in both variations) is primarily for use in conjunction with horizontal oriented siding. The system may also be used in conjunction with either the horizontal RS-Rail or PanelRail when the pre-threaded holes of the CI-Girt or SL-Girt don’t meet panel layout specifications. TEK screws are required to connect horizontal rails to any location on the SidingRail. The systems are comprised of continuous vertical members (SL features either a 1.5" or 3" fastening face, CI features a 2") for attaching various claddings. SidingRail may be used in conjunction with (but not limited to):
¤ Lapped Siding
¤ Roll Formed (corrugated) Metal Siding
¤ Horizontal Wood
¤ Exposed Fastener Cement Composite Panels (stud layout dependent)
ADVANTAGES TO KNIGHT’S SIDINGRAIL SYSTEM:
¤ Energy and functionally efficient
¤ Quick and easy installation
¤ Pre-engineered and tested
¤ Versatile cladding options
